Haagen Dazs is one of the constant flavor innovators in Japan, and now they are starting to stretch by the looks of it. Two old favorites, Green Tea and Cookies, get merged to give us Cookies and Green Tea flavor. Tried it out the other night after spotting it in the convenience store, not top of my list but a good combo none-the-less.

Not sure if this is actually flavored with Pacman or even what Pacman should taste like, but this 30th anniversary tasty treat is doing the rounds in Japan at the moment. They call it a cookie in some of the advertising, but the “man”(まん) is actually just a the name for, often Chinese style, buns. This one being a sweet type.

It wasn’t enough for Kit Kat to have just cookie flavour like your favourite ice cream might do, they have gone with the “plus”. The main chocolate part is pretty much jam packed with cookie flavouring, so you have the cookie flavour from the soft chocolate, then you get a crunch hit from a base layer of supposed cookie pieces. My suspicion is that they are just crunch assisting particles of some kind with no relation to actual cookie.
