It’s really hard to tell, with this cutesy packaging wrapped around a sugar coma inducing “coffee drink”, exactly who Lotte is going after – the “kid inside us all” demographic or the “kid who needs coffee after a hard day at the kindergarten” demographic.

Probably both – which is insane if it’s true.

How do we go about selling our over run of Cafe au Lait flavor? We are stuck with 40 000 liters of the stuff! Hey why don’t we just throw in some of the excess from the bland caramel syrup we have been using recently and re-package it as Caramel Macchiato, they won’t know the difference.

Salt + something sweet is sure making an insurgence recently. Somebody’s cousin’s uncle in the food industry probably has a surplus he is trying to dump and is calling in some favors.

Very mild and refreshing take on the latest round of caramel flavored ice cream from the brand with the quintessential meaningless fancy name.

Beer is good. Caramel is good. Beer and Caramel is good.

Tastes more like sake actually, but liking the effort.

Another one from the US. This time caramel popcorn didn’t have enough zing so they thought the’d add some cappuccino. I love the way American marketing minds think.

Great sugar hit … I’ve always been partial to a caramel popcorn, however not much of a note of the promised cappuccino flavor in there.

Caramel Rolls in general are not that magical a taste and usually are made pretty cheaply and sold in convenience stores in my experience. A cheap sugar hit. This one is no exception and doesn’t even give such a good shot at mimicing the taste. I expect more from my chocolate filled pretzel stick.

Oh, by the way… this is part of the adult series of Toppo. I guess designed to appeal to the mature palet.
