Pizza Potato ChipsPotato Chips

Pizza potato chips are a great invention, almost dripping pieces of cheese in a regular chip packet. Think of a version of Nachos with smaller pieces of cheese and without the sauce. You can see what I mean on the packet. I really like these, but my arteries creak when I have them so I am ...

I came across this one at a a Korean restaurant as an after meal mint. It hit me with a rather odd, but familiar taste so we asked what it was... turns out to be burnt rice flavor. An odd taste to go after at the end of the meal since I already had so ...

Discovered via Koichi I am not sure what office chickens are supposed to taste like but full marks to these guys for taking advantage of a unique eating occasion, ie. grabbing a quick take out meal and eating at your desk, and running with it.

Tipoff from Ankit While we are on a chocolate drink roll, Suntory has a new soda releasing in two days (19th January) flavored with chocolate, called Chocolate Sparkling. Since it hasn't hit the shelves yet, I can't tell you what it tastes like yet, but whoever gets their hands on it first, please tell me what ...
Cappuccino Caramel PopcornPopcorn

Another one from the US. This time caramel popcorn didn't have enough zing so they thought the'd add some cappuccino. I love the way American marketing minds think. Great sugar hit ... I've always been partial to a caramel popcorn, however not much of a note of the promised cappuccino flavor in there.

This one is a tip off from Christian (don't call him Chris) who first posted and tipped us off. As Christian says : "It was just a matter of time: Belgium-style chocolate beer has hit Japanese stores, made possible by a collaboration between Sapporo beer and Royce. And not unlike its Belgium relative, it tastes quite ...

This is a US edition that made it to Japan in an international supermarket. Honey and mustard smell comes though strong and the taste is there but not overwhelming. Of course being US sized as well, the package is a little bigger than the standard Japanese Pringles packages.

Submitted by Rene. While we are on the Yuzu theme, we also have Yuzu Salt Potato Chips. Yuzu is a citrus fruit similar to a lemon. As Rene says "The taste is reminds me of vinegar chips - only much milder, the hint of it is quite light and pleasant."

Mitsuya Cider GumsCandy

Mitsuya Cider is one of the more common brands of soda in Japan. Somebody had the smart idea to make sweets with the flavor and this is one of the examples on the shelves of your local convenience store. They managed a little tang to mimic the carbonation, and a nice almost milky taste.
Miso Kit KatKit Kat

Submitted by Taco from Taco Time. I love all these regional Kit Kats that are coming in. This one is Nagoya, and another Miso flavor from the region, previously we had Red Miso Sour. Nagoya is famous for Miso (especially Miso Katsu), so I guess Kit Kat decided to make use of the local favourite. I haven't ...
